Welcome to Earthtec!
There are several things you should know about us.
The first is that we all love the outdoors. I grew up in the Boy Scouts, hiking and camping, learning to respect nature and to value community service. People here kid me that I went from helping little old ladies cross the street to helping the world cross to the greener side. Very clever – but it's no joke that all of us at Earthtec want to do our part in making the earth a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable place.
The second thing is that apparel is our instrument of choice in the fight against ecological harm. Some of us are designers coming from the elite outerwear brands. Some of us are eco-textile nerds. Some of us are global manufacturing and operations pros. And all of us are driven to make great clothes that go easier on the planet.
I've been dreaming green since the start of my career, when I got a job with a company that capitalized on the surplus textiles of New York's premier design houses. This was a form of recycling and it hooked me on finding smart ways to combat wastefulness with resourcefulness.
At Earthtec, we've gone beyond surplus textiles into finding better ways to make stylish, functional apparel from recycled plastics, organic cotton, and renewable wool. And we're not stopping there. We're always looking for new options – from recycled nylon to coffee beans, from corn to hybrid blends that combine recovered synthetic materials and natural fibers for unparalleled performance.
With great pride, the things we produce – all of our jackets, shirts, hoodies, yoga pants, caps, you-name-it – use recycled or sustainable materials. That's our vision, our passion, and our promise.
As for the final thing about us – well, it's you. The way we see it, this is a partnership. We make environmentally responsible apparel. You wear that apparel. We reinvest in newer and better technologies that mean more bottles out of landfills or more organic cotton grown more efficiently. You choose Earthtec again. And on and on in a planet-revitalizing cycle. So I want to say thank you. We can only do this together.
